We
are sponsoring children to go to school. All the children we are
sponsoring do not have a mother or father. Many have never been
to school even though some are in their teens. We now have over
30 children and have plans to sponsor more.
Primary school education is supposed to be free in Uganda, but many
don't have access and can't afford to pay for essential requirements
such as books and uniforms. Secondary school education can be very
expensive. For many people it can be more than their income.
Despite living in the midst of war and difficulties the majority
of the children on the programme want to be teachers, doctors and
lawyers.
A donation of £5
per month would fund 1 child in primary school for a month, and
£25 per month for secondary school for one year.
You can choose to either
support a child over the duration of a school year by filling out
a standing order mandate, or a one off payment by cheque or direct
bank transfer. See contacts page or donations.
Any support is greatly appreciated.
